Introducing your Walking Guide

Emma Sinfield, Mountain Leader

I have lived in North Wales for twenty-five years. I work at an outdoor Centre with children introducing them to outdoor activities. I am also training to be a counsellor.

I love being outdoors in nature and especially the mountains. I also enjoy cycling and yoga, which is how I met Wendy 18 years ago.

I am a qualified mountain leader and have been leading walks in the Snowdonia National Park for twenty-five years. I am first aid trained and this is renewed every three years.

Emma will lead a mountain walk from Snowdonia Mountain Lodge

We will walk together as a group and go at a pace that is suitable for the whole group, so we can enjoy the scenery and stop to notice our beautiful surroundings.  We will walk in the valley of Ogwen which is one of Snowdonia National Park’s most breathtaking backdrops.

“A truly wonderful retreat, an experience that was made so special with the yoga. Wendy was so sympathetic to everyone’s needs. I loved the mix of breathing, stretching and meditation. It lifted the healing energy. You have gone above and beyond. Definitely, 5 stars to your holistic approach”

“Just returned from Wendy’s Yoga and Walking retreat at Nab Cottage in the Lake District.

It was a wonderful weekend that exceeded my expectations.

I love Wendy’s holistic approach.  No matter how many years of yoga I have been practicing,

Wendy’s yoga reminds me again of the important elements of yoga – breathing, posture and calm mind.

Her warm pleasant voice leads us to a very peaceful mind and body.

Nab Cottage was the perfect place for such a peaceful yoga practice.

I loved my unique and charming little room with views of both the lake and the mountains.

Appreciated the warm hospitality of the cottage staff and enjoyed very tasty meals!

Despite the wet weather, a Mindful mountain walk was a very satisfying experience.

It was the perfect combination calming my mind with yoga and energising my body with mountain walks in the beautiful Lake District.

Thanks to our wonderful guide, Jamie from Inspirit Walking.

Huge thank you to our Yogini, Wendy for arranging such a perfect yoga retreat and giving me the opportunity to meet such lovely yoga friends.

I learnt so much and felt refreshed and happy!

Looking forward to the future events and opportunity to join!   Thank you!”

Asako – Yoga & Walking Rydal Retreat 2024

“Just back from the most wonderful and relaxing weekend with Wendy, in the Lake District. Wendy has a really great way of teaching yoga. Her voice and style are so soothing. She is really supportive of everyone in class. I learnt a lot. The group was great company and we made some lovely memories, including walking up a fell in the mist.

If you are looking for a retreat with like minded souls and to return home energised yet relaxed, then book one of Amity Yoga retreats. Highly recommended.”
